MT (Mixed Technology) Laser Skin Rejuvenation Facial

As we grow older the collagen within our skin begins to break down, resulting in loss of volume, elasticity and undefined facial contours. The MT Laser Skin Rejuvenation Facial is a non-invasive treatment that encourages collagen regeneration, improves pores, sun damaged pigmented skin and aids in reducing enlarged pores, fine lines and wrinkles.

Skin rejuvenation is based on light absorption in melanin and haemoglobin, treating and clearing superficial skin and creating thermal damage to the collagen of the skin, which results in its regeneration. New collagen is thus produced which lifts laxity lines, plumps facial tissue and smoothes out fine lines and wrinkles.

The Mixed Technology Laser Skin Rejuvenation Facial is a new technique made possible by our state-of-the-art Quanta Duetto laser machine.

There has been much discussion in the beauty press over which kind of laser is best for laser facial treatments: Alexandrite or ND:YAG. Alexandrite is gold standard for lighter skin-types and ND:YAG is the gold standard for darker skin types.

Now we’re able to offer you the best of both worlds. Having the ability to fire these wavelengths separately or together gives us the ultimate tool and gives the you the ultimate facial experience.

We achieve this with the high melanin absorption of the Alexandrite (755nm) and the safety profile and  haemoglobin absorption of the ND:YAG (1064nm).

The MT Laser Skin Rejuvenation Facial improves skins complexion by effectively brightening and micro-exfoliating the skin for a and glowing look. It tightens your skin by heating the epidermis to stimulate collagen and elastin production.

The use of mixed technology is perfect for skin rejuvenation, pigmented and vascular lesions acne and dehydrated skin.

This technique offers better results than standard lasers or IPL – treatments are more comfortable, so you can have results with little or no downtime.

MT (Mixed Technology) Laser Skin Rejuvenation Facial – The Process

Prior to treatment you must first undergo a consultation where we check your medical history and confirm your suitability for laser treatment. Before we proceed you will be asked to sign a consent form and undergo a patch test 24 hours before treatment. We advise you to keep your skin as light as possible.

We recommend you arrive with no makeup on. We apply a cold gel on the area to be treated. Dark glasses are also provided to protect your eyes from the bright light. The hand piece is gently applied to your skin and pulses of light are applied.

The feeling of the light being applied has frequently been described as a slight sting and sometimes even as having a small rubber band at your skin

The Quanta Duetto laser treats the damaged superficial layer of the skin and delivers thermal energy to deeper tissue. The system filters the light to ensure the wavelengths used are absorbed by haemoglobin (the blood in your problem vessels).

The light is converted to heat, which destroys the protein in the wall of the blood vessels, causing the vessels to gradually disappear up to 4 weeks after treatment.

The laser targets only the unwanted areas, leaving the surrounding skin unharmed. You may experience some bruising or swelling after treatment, but this should subside within 72 hours.

It is important to avoid tanning your skin using sun beds, sunlight or self tanning before or during sessions as this may result in a less effective treatment. SPF sunscreen should be used in the treated area for a few weeks after treatment.
